YouTube debuted YouChoose 2020, a series of interactive videos related to the 2020 US election. The YouTube Originals series allows viewers to start with a single introductory video and then watch separate videos that focus on different elements of the voting process.
These additional videos have different YouTube meme themes (like cooking, dancing, and car repairing), but they all convey the same information on choosing. For example, after watching the introductory video, users can learn about the various steps of the voting process in a cooking video, register in a video about manicure, and so on.
A second YouTube Originals series called Kid Correspondent premieres later in October. The four-part special can be viewed on both YouTube and YouTube Kids and helps families learn more about the democratic voting process.
Earlier this year, YouTube introduced bulletin boards that appear when users search for content related to the 2020 US election. These can give users links to information about voter registration, voter identification requirements, and more.
